ICIC 2024 Branding & Logo

The brand identity “ALBANIA ICIC XV” draws inspiration from Albania’s rich history and natural heritage.

The font of “Albania” itself reflects the country’s historical depth, inspired from an Illyrian symbol found in the city of Korca, a spectacular fibula in the form of a double 8 connects the brand to the wealth of history and cultural significance embedded in the Albanian heritage. Additionally, the brand identity pays homage to the recent achievement of Vjosa, Europe’s last Wild River, being declared a national park by the Albanian state. By incorporating the curves and shapes of the Vjosa River into the brand and logo design, the brand aligns itself with the principles of preservation and sustainability.

The graphics inspired by key parts of the Vjosa map, resembling the flow of a river, add a dynamic and organic element to the brand identity. The crystal waters of Vjosa embodies transparency which is an essential element of the river contributing to its rich ecosystem which represents diversity and inclusivity. With its unique ecological significance and challenges faced, the Vjosa River has become a symbol that calls for international cooperation.
